About the project...
Each person’s skin has its own unique microflora signature, the microbiome.
The microbiome is an important ally in the protection and wellbeing of the skin.
We want to know more about the vast world of the microbiome and how it affects skin’s appearance and health. We are seeking volunteers to participate in a clinical research study.
...Study procedures
You will be asked to complete, with the help of our researcher, a short questionnaire with details of your lifestyle, allergies and skin care routine. Then several pictures of your face will be taken. After that, basic skin characteristics will be assessed using non-invasive methods and lastly, the skin will be swabbed with a cotton bud.
This is a non-invasive process with the aim to collect your bacterial communities which our research team will use to conduct this study.
This process is estimated to take about an hour and a half.
